Studio Visit

Had a studio visit with art Elizabeth Patterson today. She gave me one of her catalogs from her show in Paris-amazing work! She makes these obsessively stunning portraits of street scenes through watery windshields.

Painting the French cat

St.Remy, France: I felt like I was in a fairytale; the sky was so blue, the air so fresh and the beautiful wilderness was right at my fingertips. I had been away for 10 days and this little French cat brought so much joy to my life.  It was kind of lonely traveling in a foreign country where I did not speak the language all by myself. This cat made me feel like I wasn’t alone anymore.

Purple Rain

Yes, I know the purple is too purple-Really feeling the Purple Rain today.  I miss our out of the media wizard-Prince. Did you know he changed his name to a symbol to avoid power grabbing from the Music Industry? I recently watched a fascinating film titled: Thirty Seconds to Mars-w/ Jared Leto-about how toxic the music industry is. I thought the Art World was corrupt-anyway, I made these flowers for a client’s birthday party at g. Baldi in Beverly Hills with a painting in process in the background-

My close friend from high school lost her father recently. She asked me to prepare several arrangements to make the altar area extra special for the service. I thought blues and whites would look lovely next to all the rich wood tones inside the church. It was a very sad day knowing that when she turned 30, her mother passed away and now at 40, her father passed away.
